Healthcare Pathway Programme
Year 12 and 13 students with aspirations of having a healthcare career attended a one-day programme hosted on Saturday 23rd September. Attendees had and comprehensive overview of healthcare degrees, application processes, and hands-on clinical skills sessions.
Within clinical skills sessions, students participated in a range of practical sessions, where students engaged in a Doctor's Consultation on History Taking and immersive Clinical Skills Circuits focused on OSCEs (including neurological examinations and measuring blood pressure). The lectures entailed in-depth discussions on application overview, research/critical analysis, personal statement advice, an example healthcare teaching session and a conclusive Q&A session providing insight into what current students typically do.
