Bridging the gap through compassion
We are Empathos charity, where our passion drives us to create a better world through education and poverty relief. Founded with a deep sense of purpose, we are committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of individuals, families and communities. Our core beliefs are rooted in the fundamental principles of empathy, empowerment, and equality
Our Mission
At Empathos charity, our mission is two-fold: to advance education and alleviate poverty within society. We believe that education is a powerful tool that has the potential to transform lives and create a brighter future. We are dedicated to supporting aspiring and current students across the United Kingdom, providing them with educational resources, mentorship, and services to help them excel in their studies and careers. We particularly focus on students from widening participation backgrounds, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to achieve their dreams.
Additionally, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the fight against poverty. Our efforts extend beyond borders, reaching both local and international communities.
Through grants, essential items, and valuable services, we strive to provide a lifeline to individuals facing poverty. We collaborate closely with charities and organisations that share our vision, amplifying our impact and creating a network of support that spans the globe.
Our Approach
Empathy is at the heart of everything we do. We understand that each individual's journey is unique, and we tailor our support to meet their specific needs. Our team is comprised of passionate and currently student-led individuals who believe in the power of collective action. We work tirelessly to foster an environment of collaboration, inclusivity, and compassion.
Your Role
Your support is invaluable in bringing our mission to life. When you donate or volunteer for Empathos Charity, you become an integral part of our journey. Your contributions enable us to provide crucial resources to students pursuing careers in healthcare, opening doors to opportunities they might not have otherwise. Your generosity also reaches those who are struggling with poverty, offering them a lifeline and a chance for a better life. Together, we can create a brighter and more equitable future.

Additionally, We extend our gratitude to the Medical Defense Union for contributing towards sponsoring our website.
The Medical Defence Union is the world’s oldest defence organisation, established as a not-for-profit in 1885, continuing to this day as the UK’s leading medical defence organisation. We offer specialised Medico-Legal advice and services to our members, when they need support. There are many reasons why a Doctor may need legal support, for example, if they receive a complaint, if they’re asked to contribute to a Coroner’s Investigation, if they are subject to a GMC investigation or if they simply need some advice. Our student membership is completely free and includes planning advice and indemnity for electives. Although it’s unlikely students will require much medico-legal advice when studying, it’s not impossible, particularly when working on placements – so it’s a really good idea to be an MDU student member while studying, just in case. MDU F1 membership costs just £10 for the whole year, and you’ll also receive a free gift when you join/renew. The MDU has dedicated Liaison Managers who can help with any membership related queries.
