Dr Heather MacFarlane

Dr. Heather MacFarlane is a portfolio GP in Greenwich, a clinical teacher at Imperial College School of Medicine and holds a role in her local PCN. Additionally, she co-leads TEDxNHS, an annual national conference. Her medical education responsibilities involve curriculum design for the Imperial MBBS program and mentoring students as they transition to graduate doctors. In her PCN role, she organises professional development events for senior clinicians and supports MDT staff in Primary Care. She has collaborated with NHS England, RCGP, and the CQC, contributing to various national projects across the UK. She received an RCGP award for her contributions to Medical Education and was appointed the National Medical Director's Clinical Fellow at the Care Quality Commission in 2019.
