OSCE Masterclass

Join us for the Ultimate two-day OSCE Bootcamp, a free, peer-led, high-yield teaching event designed to help you excel in your upcoming OSCEs.

You can sign up for one or multiple workshops based on your preferences. To ensure an interactive and effective learning experience, spaces are limited, so sign up early to secure your spot!

Schedule

Day One: Wednesday, 17th April

  • Prescribing - 11:00 am
    Learn prescribing techniques and be able to practice using a prescribing sheet and the BNF. Please bring a printed copy of the prescribing sheet.

  • A-E Examination - 12:00 pm

    Conduct a thorough A-E assessment, including taking a focused history, surface anatomy and SBAR handovers.

  • Women’s Health & Paediatrics - 2:00 pm
    Learn common paediatric and gynaecology stations, e.g. measuring fundal height, obstetric abdomen exam, plotting growth chart, pregnancy dating, vaccine schedule and safeguarding. Please print a copy of the 0-2 girls’ growth chart, which can be found by clicking here.

  • Chest X-Ray Interpretation - 3:00 pm
    Learn a structured approach to chest X-ray interpretation, focusing on identifying common pathologies and their management

  • Core OSCE Skills - 4:00 pm
    General advice and gain frameworks for clinical skills, Communication scenarios, and examination stations (abdominal, cardiovascular, respiratory)

Day Two: Thursday, 18th April

  • Sexual Health & Lifestyle - 3:00 pm
    Approaches to sexual health stations (e.g., contraception, HRT, HIV) and lifestyle counselling stations

  • Psychiatry - 4:00 pm
    Overview of psychiatric conditions and learning how to conduct a Mental State Examination.

  • Hip X-Ray & CT Head Interpretations - 5:00 pm
    Structured approaches to interpreting hip X-rays and CT heads with management plans.

  • Practice Space and Advice/Feedback - 6:00 pm
    An open practice space for small group sessions, personalised feedback, and any Q&A.
